Fast Fibres Poetry meets at the 116 Bank Street, Whangarei, every third Thursday from 5pm – 7:00 or 8:00pm. Meetings are casual, with occasional guest poets. Bring your own work to read.
There is limited free parking next to 116 Bank Street, and also free spaces along Bank Street itself.
Whangarei Library Flash Fiction Group
The Whangarei Flash Fiction Group meets in the May Bain room, Whangarei Library, every first Tuesday from 3:30pm – 5:00. Bring your own flash to read. Prompts are normally emailed to regulars.
There is free 2h parking on Rust Avenue, and paid parking in the Whangarei council car park next to the library.

Held every second Wednesday of the month at the Butter Factory, Whangarei, close to the car park next to Farmers.
